We loved performing our new concert ‘Hats Off’ to all our grown-ups.  We have really enjoyed learning the songs and singing all about the seasons.  We are now good at knowing the types of weather, clothes and food that we have in different seasons.

We read ‘Paper Dolls’ by Julia Donaldson.  We made our own paper dolls and created magnificent stories about the adventures they had.  We thought about their characteristics.

After the Easter break we all went on a bear hunt.  We loved this story and used it to practise sequencing the main events of the story and writing sentences with repetitive language. We also enjoyed collaging the scenes from the story.

In Maths, we explored weight and mass using balance scales and length using rulers. We learned to compare mass and length using key vocabulary such as heavy, heavier and heaviest.

We have continued to talk about the United Kingdom.  See if your children can tell you the four countries that make up the and perhaps their capital cities.
