Maths Week 3rd - 7th February

3rd February 2020
The children had an exciting time during maths week (3rd - 7th February) where they focused on 2D and 3D shapes across the school.  All the children learnt about the properties of shape and looked for 2D and 3D shapes in the school environment.  They also learnt shape songs and played maths games focusing on solving problems together.

As part of our 'Festival of Shape', the children were invited to take part in a competition to draw or build an animal using 2D or 3D shapes.  We had some amazing entries as you can see from the photos.  Congratulations to the following winners who were judged by our Linking Voices:-

Sunflower Class - Thomas B
Bluebell Class - Betsy
Poppy Class - Evania
Ladybird Class - Caleb
Butterfly Class - Eduardo
Hedgehog Class - Lenny
Sycamore Class - Beau
Willow Class - Joseph
Oak Class - Roman

We also held a non-uniform day where children could come to school if they wished in something shape or number themed.  We raised £180.10 which will be used to boost our maths resources in school
