Science Week (17th - 21st November)

21st November 2025

Science Week was a huge hit in Butterfly Class this year – we had so many amazing experiments!

Thirteen children brought in an experiment from home and we got to find out about exploding coke volcanoes, skittles in water, balloons that blew up by themselves, pepper and glitter that were scared of soap as well as feeling different textures and finding out about floating and sinking (to name just a few).

The children had great fun with a Humpty Dumpty experiment where they had to predict what would happen to him when he fell onto different surfaces and the whole class went home with blue hands after experiencing ‘cornflour slime’.

A brilliant week with lots to talk about.

The rest of the classes also had great fun during Science Week. We are very grateful to everyone who provided experiments from home and to those parents who came into school to share experiments with the children. They certainly found it fascinating.  Thank you to those children who completed the science colours in nature scavenger hunt.  Each child who took part received a certificate, a sweet and a magnifying glass.
