Working With Others

When a whole school engages with Working With Others, all staff including Headteachers, teaching assistants and midday meal supervisors become equipped with practical strategies for working with each other more effectively and for supporting whole classes and smaller groups of pupils.
 
Staff members are able to reflect on and develop their practice and relationships with colleagues as well as pupils in their school.

All areas of the school are able to help support the development and practice of group work skills with children for their learning, behaviour and relationships with each other, both in the playground and in the classroom.

The children had lots of fun and used their working with others skills with children from all year groups.

Winter themed WWO Morning
 
On Tuesday 18th December 2018, the whole school mixed up and had a great morning meeting new children in other classes and year groups.  We played lots of working with other games for the children to get to know each other and then they helped each other to create some fantastic Christmas hats.  The children also worked together to learn part of a Christmas song which they performed later in the morning.

Working with Others Christmas Event
 
On Thursday 19th December 2019, the whole school enjoyed a 'Working with Others' afternoon.  The children were mixed into the nine classes around the school where they got to do lots of fun activities.  They had to choose three people to dress up in a Christmas themed costume and the children had to work together to create the outfits!  They had such a fun time and it was so lovely to see how well the children worked co-operatively together.
 
Here are some of the things they said:-
 
"I made a new friend"
"I loved it, I helped Barti, I helped him to cut the paper out and colour in"
"We made Christmas Puddings - we worked together"
"I liked it because the person I had as a partner - Austin, was really kind to me"
