Year 2 Fire Service Visit

30th January 2020

To fit in with our topic on ‘The Great Fire of London’ the fire service came to visit Year 2 children on Thursday 30th January. They talked to the children about fire safety and taught the children a rhyme to remember:

Matches, lighters never touch; they can hurt you very much.

They then went on to talk to the children about what to do in an event of a fire: Get out! Stay out! Phone 999 and about Stop, drop and roll if clothes catch on fire.

The children then went out to see the fire engine and all the equipment that is used in various emergencies.

We would like to thank our local white watch for coming and talking to the children about keeping safe.
